Manny Pacquiao signaled Retirement

Philippine boxer Manny Pacquiao hinted will retire after serving the last fight so that he can focus on his role as a senator.

The 36-year-old fighter lost to Floyd Mayweather in early May in the most expensive games in history titled The Fight of The Century. After the fight, Pacquiao had shoulder surgery and also to consider carefully the future.


Media to the Philippines, ABS-CBN, the PacMan nicknamed boxer said he wants one more fight. But when asked whether he will retire, he said: "I think I'm ready. I've been in the boxing world since 20 years ago. I would inquire of the God and I am glad of it."

Pacquiao went into politics as a member of Congress since 2010. Earlier this week, he confirmed will be back aiming for a Senate seat in the Philippine general election in May next year.

This has encouraged Pacquiao re-think of its future.

"I have to give up other things that will occupy my attention. If you are a senator, you have to focus on work and family."

If Pacquiao decides only will play one more time, then it is most likely fight against Briton bloody Pakistan, Amir Khan.

To ABS-CBN, Pacquiao also said that he agreed to fight with Khan, although to date no formal agreement has been announced by both parties.

Over the past few years, Khan actually eyeing a fight with Mayweather Jr. However, the United States chose boxer Andre Berto as the last enemy and has said he will not return to the boxing world.

Failure to get Mayweather Jr. make Khan turned his attention to Pacquiao. Both know each other very well because it was under the same coach, Freddie Roach.
