A breakthrough that could change the lives of about one billion people in the world now has a presence.
As the name implies, Sustainable Alternative Lighting (SALt) is an alternative source of lighting more efficient, safe, sustainable and created by two Filipinos named Aisa Mijeno (CEO) and Raphael Mijeno (CFO).

By using salt, you no longer have to worry if the electricity in your house suddenly extinguished. You see, a unique lamp that can be lit only by using a galvanic cell consisting of sea water and a glass of water and two tablespoons of salt.

Even more interesting again, salt can be used for eight hours per day within six months. The lighting apparatus also has a USB port, so you can also use it to charge your smartphone if needed.

Well, after being tested by indigenous peoples in the Philippines, SALT is now in the stage of mass production. The plan, exceptional products that will be introduced to the market in late 2015 or early 2016.
There has been no further news about the price of salt, but its makers to make sure that they will sell at "affordable prices that can also support and maintain the flow of production".
